Game Development workshop in collaboration with IEEE Ionian Student Branch brought together aspiring developers for an engaging series of online interactive sessions. This Game Development workshop introduced participants to the fundamentals of 3D game creation while encouraging creativity, collaboration, and practical experimentation.

More than 30 aspiring game developers joined the sessions via Zoom and actively collaborated to design and develop a 3D First Person Shooter from scratch. Throughout the workshop, participants explored essential concepts such as player movement mechanics, level design principles, collision systems, and basic AI behavior. In addition, the workshop included a hands-on introduction to 3D texturing, asset importing, and project organization using the Unity3D game engine.

Participants also learned how to manage digital assets efficiently, optimize scenes for performance, and structure their workflow in a professional development environment. The instructors guided students step by step through the process of building interactive environments, implementing gameplay logic, and testing prototypes in real time. As a result, students gained practical insight into the complete game development pipeline.

Moreover, the workshop emphasized teamwork and problem-solving. Attendees exchanged ideas, discussed technical challenges, and collaborated to refine their projects. This approach allowed them to understand not only the technical side of development but also the importance of communication and structured design thinking.

By the end of the Game Development workshop, participants had created a functional prototype and developed a solid understanding of how modern game engines operate. The experience strengthened both their technical skills and their confidence in pursuing future projects in digital media and interactive entertainment.
